Paul McCartney Debuts “New” Beatles Song

During the kickoff of the South American leg of his Got Back tour in Montevideo, Uruguay, on October 1, Paul McCartney debuted “Now and Then,” touted as the final Beatles song. The poignant ballad, originally recorded by John Lennon in 1977 and revived using modern technology, features McCartney performing at a piano with a visually stunning AI-assisted video directed by Peter Jackson playing behind him. The song debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in November 2023, marking the Beatles’ 35th top 10 entry. The setlist for McCartney’s concert included a mix of beloved Beatles classics and Wings hits, captivating the audience for nearly three hours.
