Top song of the year: Walk in line by reds secret (78 times)

Once again my spotify wrapped does a great job at showcasing what my year was like. with lots of different sounds and emotions from the various artists really reflect the periods of my year. i think having oblé reed be my number one artist is extremely fitting as i’ve began to work really closely with him on various projects. lastly a fun thing i try to accomplish every year is to increase my minutes listened, and well i listened to over 20,000 more minutes of music this year for a total of over 102,000 minutes

Top song of the year: Walkman by Bad Bad Hats (43 times; top .005% of listeners!)

Top 5 artists: Bad Bad Hats, Magdalena Bay, The Regrettes, Remi Wolf and Tyler, the Creator. Not surprising. I love these artists.

Top song of the year: Look at us now (honeycomb) by Daisy Jones and the Six (57 times)

A few of the artists in my top 5 were ones that learned about earlier this year and I was hooked as soon as I listened. I can understand the top songs as well and I was not surprised by them, however I probably would have changed the fifth one because I found other songs after that that were even better. I’m not ashamed to admit I’m glad that one direction is on there but I didn’t think it would be this year so it was a bit of a surprise. Also I was a bit surprised that none of Noah Kahan’s songs were in my top 5 but he was my second artist

Top song of the year: Bladee by Thee 9 Is Up (97 Times)

This year I listened to John Williams while doing work and can only assume Randy Newman would be my #6 for the same reason. I listened to a lot of Bladee this summer, particularly while I was in Europe, it just makes sense. I think The Hellp is very important and they just released their debut album after 8 years as a band so it’s only right that I’ve been listening a lot to them as well.

Bre Williams

Top song of the year: Beautiful mayhem by deathbyromy (42 times)

I think it’s a good artist line up, l I just have good taste lol. I found deathbyromy bc they opened a concert I went to and i absolutely loved them gotta catch them live again 10/10. I am surprised with halloweenie being in my top songs that ashniko isn’t in top artist but I do love some Arctic monkeys; one of my forever bands.

Emma Robertson

Top song of the year: Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield (317 times)

My top artist was Steven Universe, because those songs are really nice to listen to while studying. Bo Burnham has been tailing me since 2021, not sure i’ll ever completely stop listening to him. Hozier is great for those calmer nights. Chappell Roan has been a staple in my Wrapped for a couple years now, since I discovered her on instagram before she really blew up. And Leslie Odom Jr. can be accounted to my past as a theatre kid (no matter how desperately I try to bury him in the year’s recount of my music history). My top song was Unwritten because it’s a BANGER. Not appreciated as much as it should be imo. Like Real People Do was pretty much from one night where I really needed to lock in, and that song just clicked in my brain I guess. Peridot and Steven was good background music as I said previously. Lover’s Rock will NEVER get old tbh. The Lion Has Got No Teeth is from a musical called Water For Elephants which I highly recommend.

Top song of the year: Loosh98 by Lucca Dohr (37 times)

I ended up having a lot of indie-alt music in my wrapped, with some of my favorite songs being by smaller artists. Also, had some bigger names in my wrapped, like Charli XcX, Troye Sivan, and Lizzy McAlpine. My top five artists were Lizzy McAlpine, Mk.gee, Laundry Day, Charli XcX, and Lucca Dohr. I listened to Lizzy McAlpine and A lot of Mk.gee this year so I wasn’t too surprised. My top five songs made sense too, but I was a little surprised that Troye Sivan made it up there. I wouldn’t change anything! It’s so fun to see how the music from the year adds up! If anything, I wish wrapped took more data from the end of the year.

Top song of the year: Red Wine Supernova by Chappell Roan (71 times)

I guess I was a Chappell Roan fein! Something about her sound is like crack cocaine to me. I am a tad bit embarrassed that I had more pop that Rap but thats how the cookie crumbles. I think SZA is just has such versatility in her music that I can put her on no matter what I’m feeling. Plus she she’s a legit icon soo. and I just love Noah and Tyler so that was expected. Taylor swift however was not but I think it was her new album that I just listened to a bunch

Maraya Nunez

Top song of the year: Connect the Dots by Greer (63 times)

Blood orange music combines dreamy melodies blending R&B, indie and electronica which drew me to their emotional atmosphere during the summer, a time of creativity and fun. Mannequin Pussy has raw punk energy with soft emotional melodies which resonated with me during the beginning of the year expressing intense feelings and emotions. The Voidz new album this year definitely hooked me. I really enjoyed Julian Casablancas’ experimental side with this band. This band just satisfies your craving for unpredictable eclectic music. The Strokes is my staple indie rock band, they just have nostalgic timeless sounds and it has been my comfort band for a while now, from their catchy riffs and laid back energy. Peso Pluma has brought regional Mexican music to the spotlight and I really enjoyed his new album this year. He brings unique, culture rich, storytelling music and sound. Overall my wrapped reflects a diverse range of moods and genres. I don’t think I would change anything about it as it captured a wide range of vibes from the year.

Hudson Miller

Top song of the year: Jigsaw Falling Into Place by Radiohead (120 times)

All of my top artist are alt rock or rock songs because I like to be angry

Dayton Zimlinghaus

Top song of the year: Beast Of Burden by The Rolling Stones (32 times)

My wrapped is pretty spot on this year. Zach Bryan and Tyler Childers took the top 2 and rightfully so. I have loved country music since coming to Pullman and those two artists are my go to’s when I’m feeling down. Next we got Kendrick Lamar, of course he’s in my top 5 because he’s the best in the game and absolutely popped off this year! The Doors are in here because my girlfriend and I would listen to them alot together. Lastly, we got Atmosphere. They are such an underrated hip hop artists and they got a song for any kind of day or feeling. I am a little disappointed that Limp Bizkit didn’t make it into the top 5, I listened to them an ungodly amount this summer haha.
